Zenworks imaging had been very useful in the past. But as new technology for stoarage has come about, like SAS and SSD, imaging still only supports IDE and I think SATA drives. More and more of our devices are coming through with the newer technology which has forced us to abandon the use of Zenworks imaging and purchase GHOST. GHOST supports these newer forms of storage but does not have all the features of Zenworks imaging.. So the question is will Zenworks imaging be supported in the future and be enhanced to use the newer forms of storage, or is it just going by the wayside, in favor of other products like GHOST?

  • what dou you mean that ssd is not supported?
    correct alignment?

  • I have no issues with SSD. But some of the cheaper models in the sub 250 range use an MMC card. That is not recognized. I had to resort to clonezilla to image those.

  • There's another vote for allowing eMMC drives in ZEN that just switched to 'Planned'. https://www1.v1ideas.com/MFI/novell-zcm/Idea/Detail/1001 Up-vote that one and maybe it will get done quicker.

  • SSD, eMMC and NVME disk types are supported now in ZENworks.
