Within the Sentinel Control Center (SCC) --> Event Source Management --> Live View... --> Table tab --> expand any Collector Manager.
The statistics do not persist upon Sentinel service restart, as viewed from right-clicking on any Connector, Collector, Event Source or even Event Source Servers... selecting any of these object-types and choosing "Status Details..."
Proposed Solution: Re-tool these statistics such that they "survive" a service restart. All statistics are of potential interest, but we are specifically interested in the following:
- Last Data Received (Event Source, Event Source Server)
- Time Last Record Sent (Connector)
- Time Last Event Sent (Collector)
Value Proposition: For larger environments, these crucial details will allow customers to accurately judge whether and Event Source or other object can be pruned because no data has truly been received for months or longer, something that is impossible to tell now if the Sentinel server is restarted regularly for patches, backups, etc.
