File connector should be able to use SMB v2 and v3.
Microsoft has deprecated SMBv1: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/josebda/2015/04/21/the-deprecation-of-smb1-you-should-be-planning-to-get-rid-of-this-old-smb-dialect/See also https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/filecab/2016/09/16/stop-using-smb1/
Customers are turning SMB1 off and the only way then to use SMB 2/3 is to connect from OS but this is possible only with SLES12 or RH7.
Piotr, thank you for submitting this idea. We will look it over and let you know what our thoughts are, or may ask for additional information.
After WannaCry, everyone is disabling SMBv1. Just had a partner in Spain complain about this the other day.
Same here. Most of our customers have disabled SMBv1.
