Customers are asking for functionality of a similar nature to that shown here for ZDM http://www.novell.com/documentation/zenworks7/dm7admin/data/a7vy1i4.html namely the ability to use values from the ZCM database or directory objects, without having to set a separate system variable. For example, one customer has asked for the ability to use the contents of the description field in a prompt message. They also would like to be able to use attributes of the user. The more flexible we can be, the more useful the facility.
All of this would make bundles more useful and more powerful.

This can be done today. There are a number of existing directory fields already exposed, and additional fields can be exposed by creating an active-directory-users-additional.zls.xml file or an edirectory-users-additional.zls.xml file. There are sample files already in the /etc/opt/novell/zenworks/datamodel/authsource folder that you can use as a template. Once defined you should be able to use ${<attribute name>} in your bundles after the zen primary has been restarted so that the data is accessible to it. You can see there are already a number of attributes such as cn,PhoneNumbers, etc that are available.
