The Properties box displayed when you right-click on a bundle in the Application Window provides the Display Name and GUID, but not the actual Bundle name. Since you can already see the Display Name, that's not useful - especially since you can't copy the GUID from the box to use in a search.

What we need there is the bundle name. We often use the same Display Name for different bundles. For example, we might use MS Access as the Display Name for bundles which launch MS Access 2003, MS Access 2010, or MS Access 2013 depending on which is on the PC. The user always sees the same name, but if you have to troubleshoot an issue, you have to know which bundle is actually involved.

  • I have had my help desk staff complain of this very issue.

  • I just got confirmation that this is still an issue in the upcoming ZCM 2017. :-( If the actual bundle name can't be shown, and we can't search on a GUID (or better yet, a partial GUID, since we can't copy a GUID from the properties anyway), it makes it really hard to make sure we're looking at the same bundle the user is!

  • Perhaps the NAL icon property box could display both the bundle name and display name? This seems like an easy fix for Micro Focus.

  • It DOES seem like an easy fix, which is why it's disappointing that it's still an issue at this stage. ZDM 7 displayed the bundle name - I used to direct people to check Properties to confirm which bundle they were running - so that's functionality that was discarded in ZCM. :-(
