ZENworks Configuration Management: ZCM should be able to issue & deploy client certificates

It should be possible for the internal CA to automatically issue and deploy managed device specific certificates to e.g. support 802.x1 certificate based port authentication or to better identify devices for remote management (where we currently use a self-signed certificate).

If an external CA is used, it should be easy to request and distribute device certificates.

This would be a great solution ! This is now possible in AD. I could not find a real alternative to the AD solution. Integrating this in ZCM would be a welcome feature.
