what's wrong with using symlinks or mount points instead?
Hmm, well, that's not as simple under Windows. Adding it as an option in the product makes it easy.
mklink /D c:\Program Files\ZenWorks\work\content-repo F:\MyFatStoragePath\ZenWorks\ContentRepo

This does not cover the scenario of using CIFS fileshares for a content repo, though.
