To properly monitor and maintain an appliance as part of a large enterprise, I need to be able to install third-party software for backup and monitoring agents. The monitoring software is used for all of the other managed servers in the environment and it is integrated into our help desk software for ticket resolution.

Appliance is currently SLES12 based, so should be able to install any supported rpm via commandline over ssh. I use an RMM currently to monitor my servers and appliances and it works same as any other sles server.
