Please add a functionality to add new drivers with a zip upload or something (in ZCC). Now we are waiting months for updates through ZEN updates.

  • Drivers for the Linux bootstrap phase are delivered as modules within the initrd image and need to match the respective version of the Kernel used for this very bootstrap. While it might be useful to have access to a buildroot tree so knowledgeable users would be able to compile their own initrd images with additional drivers, as long as Linux is working the way it is, there will be no sane way to implement your request.

I suspect that third-party imaging (https://www.novell.com/documentation/zenworks114/zen11_cm_preboot_imaging/data/bg5jdjy.html) is kind of solving your problem already, as the bootstrap / imaging phase is running WinPE instead of Linux, where you could plug the necessary drivers. But this procedure is not drag&drop either.
