As a user, I would like to see a confirmation prompt before the installation actions are triggered from the Application Window so I do not inadvertently start a lengthy bundle installation process just by double-clicking into the wrong area of my screen.

  • There's a "Prompt User" action whoever is responsible for the bundles could add to them. Other than that, in general it makes no sense to generally allow the users to cancel the installation

  • The "prompt user" action would run independently from the way the bundle is being installed. More specifically, it also would run if the bundle has been assigned to the device for installation administratively, which is not what the idea is about. A confirmation dialog should be shown when installing bundles from the Application Window *only* as users tend do to stupid "oops" things.

Other than that, from the UX perspecitve, it makes perfect sense to allow the users to cancel every user-induced action, especially if the results of this action migh be interfering with their current work.

  • Not what you are looking for....but the Prompt Action can be set to only be functional when launched while a user is logged in. This way if a bundle is running overnight when nobody is logged in....there is no prompt, but if it tries to run during the work day, the user can postpone or cancel.
