Currently, when activating Android, or even an iOS device, it is inventoried and listed as the manufacturer model #. This isn't always helpful at a quick glance to recognize what device it actually is.
SM-G390W is actually a Samsung Xcover 4, BBD100-x are BlackBerry Motion, ASUS_X018 are Asus Zenfone Max M1, MNV62CL is an Apple Ipad air 2, etc.
Google keeps a list of Google Play approved Android devices at https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1727131?hl=en-GB, and even include a csv version that could be downloaded on a schedule. Apple likely maintains a similar list.
