If you plan to replace old zcm server with new servers, as example: Old servers with sles 11 should be replaced with Windows server 2016, then you need to work on the database with select, delete and insert syntaxes, that for a normal zcm administrator is to dangerous.
It would be great if ZCC would have a switch option to change the master primare server role to the new server, so that the database will be updated with the new informations

Good Idea, usefull Feature
This is a must for a ZCC function. The ZCC Administrator must not manipulate the database.
Would be a perfect addon
Very usefull feature and a must.
Please add this feature
At the risk of sounding like the one missing something obvious to everybody here could you please expand on this? We have 36 Primary Servers and recently replaced all of them as part of a Data Center relocation project and we did not have to update any table or anything like that.
Granted, we did have to update the configuration role for nearly 200 Network Environments and that is by no means fun but that was about it.
Agree this should be in ZCC, just as the move CA role function. We did a roling swap of legacy style SLES + ZCM servers to appliances. Doing a one by one uninstall and reinstall with same IP and name. This managed to obliterate the Master Primary setting from the database, and subsquently we could no longer apply updates to our servers as we found out trying to move from 2017 U3 to U4
