If you are managing for example 3000 devices in the zone and you want to do a refresh on all devices, we do a quick task > refresh devices.

This process takes a lot of time. If we want to continue working on ZCM, we must hide the quick task windows.

When we hide the window, the background process of refreshing, is doing in the devices. If we want to know the status of refreshing, we can't bring again that window.

It would be interesting to know the background process launched from ZCM.

  • When you hide the Quick Task Status, you can bring it back up by clicking on the link under Quick Tasks in your navigation pane on the left. If the quick task is a "Refresh Device", then you will see a quick task link on the left called Refresh Device. Click on it to bring the hidden window back up. You can hide it again to continue working in ZCM. Just make sure you don't click Cancel by accident. :)

  • In addition, you can change the display name at the top of the Quick Task by clicking the Edit link. This helps when you are running multiple refreshes, etc.

  • Hello guys!

I have checked and I haven't seen that! Runs perfect! Now I can see the devices that I am refreshing.

    Thank you very much!

I don't know if I can close that idea, but it's success!

    Kind Regards
    Aitor.

  • Excellent tips - I hadn't picked up on the Edit button and renaming the quick task.
