We sometimes need to update bundles on devices that need immediate updating. We are now forced to use vb or other scripts placed on a cifs share as the launch option to be more flexible. This could be added when publishing a bundle as an option to make it immediate, perhaps forcing a zcm listener service on the device to request the latest version of the bundle to be downloaded from the server and not retrieved from the local cache.

You can already do this? If you, in the Relations assignement options, choose Launch Schedule, Date SPecific, Enter current date, etc.
The only problem is, that the ZEN agent needs to refresh first. This cna be solved by selecting the workstastions in ZCC that need it immediately, and then do a mass refresh action from zcc. Just watch out for the storm of activity on your poor ZCM server if this is hundreds of even thousands of workstations
What about launching a zac br <bundle name> on the devices via a QT? Would this be better/lighter than a full refresh and still accomplish the same thing? Since that command does exist, perhaps it could be integrated into the ZCC?
I vote for intregrate it in ZCC
