Be great if content repo could sync the images files and folders. As have had to put in place our own sync solution with separate server.

It is stopping me from using the new virtual appliance as no way of syncing the images to them.

Also not able to scale out imaging to remote sites as I have 250 sat servers that I want to use for imaging but unable to manage the syncing of the images so engineers having to transport devices back to main sites to image them, which is wasting time and money.

  • On Windows servers, I had to use DFRS to replicate the images folder between two primary servers. TFTP already has a replicate option, why not images? Would be nice to have this universally built-in so it works the same on Windows, Linux, and virtual appliances.

  • Yes, it should be there, but I created rsync script for image replication and I´m happy with it. I think this will be problematic with many GB sized images and Java Memory Heap.
