We use Centrify to manage our Mac and Linux login's to AD.
By adding user assignments to these platforms, I would be able to use zenworks to distribute content to my tech team and not all workstations. This is particularly important with licensed software. We also distribute database object and other sites based on AD group membership. We are currently do this with the PC agent. It would be nice to have feature parity between the platforms.

Also, if you AD bind a mac using the native Apple tools, i believe this also uses Kerberos.
