When joining an OES server to a domain there is an option that needs to be activated or deactivated in case the computer object was pre-created or not. In case this option is selected "wrong" an error message will be shown and the domain join will fail.

When joining Windows workstations to a domain - such an option does not exist and is not required!

I assume the reason is that during the domain join an existing object will be used automatically and if it does not exist it will be created automatically. Only in case it does not exist and it can not be created i.e. due to missing rights - the domain join fails.

To simplify the domain join - would it be possible to implement such a "use if existing and create if not" in an automated way and remove the checkbox for "use existing / use precreated"?
