With OES 2015 and AD integration the Novell Identity Translator was added as a basic component in the architecture of OES.

This daemon tries to lookup identities against the local eDirectory or against Active Directory and for deleted users and groups these lookups fail. As there can be lots and lots of these lookups for example if the owner of files was deleted this can create a high load on eDirectory and Active Directory.

To reduce this load a bad search cache with a configurable timeout should be added similar to the bad search cache in novell-cifs (novcifs -UT).
