If a pool in NSS is corrupted and NSS is in default mode (automaticly activate pools) the server does not come up. It waits until forever in the NSS start script.
The server must be hardly stopped and booted with a rescue system to edit the /etc/opt/novell/nss/nssstart.cfg and add a line
/PoolAutoDeactivate=<Pool Name>"

It would be great if the server would stop trying to activate a corrupt pool after serveral unsucessful tries and put the pool in maintenance mode. Then the system would came up and could be repaired with all tools available.
