To have enhanced print job monitoring based on the paper count, where in if the default allowed page count to be printed by an employee is more than 20 pages for example, " email alert" the iprint administrator on the page count.

Have an iteration count for e.g more than 50 pages have the print job " paused automatically" or convert it to a "walk through print job" and have the user/administrator release at the printer. Else as you mentioned purge the unreleased job automatically after a predefined period.

In this way we are sure to avoid paper wastage for wrong print jobs as well as dual factor control on the print given.
