I want to display the printer installation table (Install Printer, Printer Location, Description, Info) on our company intranet. I would rather not include the header, install iprint client button, and instructions. I am doing this currently by disabling the x-frame-options setting and using an iframe. Not the best solution, but works for now. It would be better if there was a supported method to display the table without taking these additional steps.

  • You can try out the new iPrint portal that will be released in iPrint Appliance 3.0. You can filter the list of printers, copy the url in the browser and put in your intranet site. Let us know if that solves your problem.

  • That sounds promising, but not seeing any sign of Appliance 3.0 yet. Any idea how soon (even approximately) that it might be available?

  • Looks like it was released in March - had no idea. Will have to try it out now.

  • Its better than what we had in iPrint Appliance 2, but still doesn't appear to provide what I was asking for in this enhancement request. I had hoped I could easily integrate it into my intranet. This still involves a separate page.

  • I could live with this if it had two enhancements:
    1. Make it possible to turn the "Download iPrint Client" link on or off. (This is most critical, we push out the client via ZCM and really don't need this link visiable.)
    2. Make it possible to brand the portal. So instead of "Micro Focus iPrint Portal", I could list our company name.
