If I have a multi valued attribute, I currently have to use xpath to manipulate the data in certain cases. What I'd like to be able to do is have IDM do it natively by extending the operations to for example:
remove operation attribute value
(as opposed to xpath strip). This makes it less scary and I'd have to know less about XML.

• "This makes it less scary and I'd have to know less about XML" is key to solve this: learn about XML. Working with the NetIQ IDM product knowing so Little about XML/XPath/ECMA that it scares you is actually dangerous (for your organization as well as for your career).
