Categories are a first level bucket system. As the entries grow, it may become harder to find things the way we want. It would help to be able to tag ideas(such as usability, security, 3rd party integration, etc) which gives another dimension to filtering and segregation.
Who would want this:
The person monitoring the ideas portal would get to know automatically where the most concerns are(rather than identifying the issue with just a plain component/category of the product). In addition, it becomes easy to figure out things in a segragated manner. For example, I want to know what is the biggest usability glitch/idea for the product.
