One great feature advantage of NetWare / OES above the competition was the Login Script functionality. The syntax was fairly obvious, forgiving of minor errors (direction of slashes, spacing, etc.), and allowed for very quick changes.
Filr is none of these things. Rights must be set on Filr and the disk store, the server object must exist, the share must exist, and synchronization must take place to select users etc.
Some have requested a login-script-to-Filr migration tool. I do not think this is realistic. But I would like a method to set up Filr shares that is as simple and flexible as login scripts used to be.
For example, the process should set server file and Filr rights simultaneously (since Filr already has A rights per its setup documentation), and it should be much easier to associated users/groups with a given folder and have it become (or be detected as an existing) Filr share.
