To help prevent the effects of a ransomware/cryptolocker style exploit, create a monitor that prevents any folder from being updated with an approval process through the web-interface, if more than 10 files are changed at the same time. If it is a valid change, they would have to login to the web-interface and enable the continued sync of the changes occurring from the desktop client.
