As this is a preview in 4.0 I guess this will be part of the 4.1 release.
Yes, search will be added to new UI along with other missing features in 4.1 and 4.2
So the new UI will not be default/ready before 4.3?
Plan is to have it fully ready & be the default/only UI in 4.2
