When the plugin is uploading a large file Office/Outlook becomes "tied up" and can give the user a feeling that the application is frozen. A progress indicator would be helpful.

Progress indicator makes sense - noted Dave.
We have made the plugin multi threaded in 3.3. Hope you would see it not "tieing up" the Outlook/Office applications.
Good to know. I still notice "tieing up" with V3.4.
