It was possible in Filr Desktop Application to select the folder in "My Files" that was synchronized. The default synchronization of "My files" is not necessary and not wanted for all users and generates traffic and local disc space used. Just let the user choose a Subfolder of "My files" to be synchronized.

you mean you want Filr to work like the Vibe client worked, so you can select the folders that Filr shows in My Files?
Mind that Filr only -shows- the files and folders and not syncs those locally by default; only when you click a file it will be downloaded (and cached for a while) so it can be opened, or you can select a file or folder to be cached permanently (make available offline) using the right mouse button file/folder menu options.
Would be a great option
Hi Moritz & Jacob,
As described by Sebastiaan and as described at https://www.novell.com/communities/coolsolutions/filr-2-introduces-files-demand/: current Filr Desktop Clients (Windows and Mac) doesn't download any files unless user requests it to and thus ensure there is not much traffic on network or usage of local disk.
Won't this help meet your requirement?
Marking this as completed as this is already done as part of Filr 2
Please feel free to add a new idea with more details if current Filr Desktop Client doesn't meet the requirement you have
