Make sure all the file and folder properties are mirrored at the client (same as on the backend NAS).
- Hidden files should be available to the client, and have the hidden attribute set
- Folders should have the same create date as in the backend NAS (currently they have the time they were created at the client, and not the date they were really created)
- Read only files should be read-only at the client
- Make sure to test if a folder is read only or not by copying a small file to it (like DataNow and Varonis does) and reflect that at the client.

The Web client is ok, but could definitely benefit from a revamp to become more user-friendly. Just to name a few:
-We don't like the fact that an external users sees Netfolders, My Files and Shared by me, even if he doesn't have access permission to any folder within those trees.
-Same for Share, Copy Link or Email Link using Filr. Don’t show these buttons, when the user doesn’t have a right to share the file, or the folder by link.
-Also hide the “View Trash” option for Netfolders
-For external users, there should be a “big” or easy to locate download button (for folders or within a folder for multiple files). At the moment, they have to search for it under the “More” button.
-If a user clicks on a single image file, the image opens on a new tab on a plain white page, the user then has to rightclick the picture to save it. Here, an image gallery with a download button would be more user friendly, especially when there are a lot of images or movies in a folder.
-Language for first time visitors (external users) should be determined by their browser language.
-Files that are located on a network share will show the user _filesyncagent as the author. Better leave it blank in that case, as this sometimes confuses our users.
-There should be a customizable popup for new users, where admins could write a short text on how to change the language, where to find the windows client or where to find the documentation.
-Also a very small thing I noticed during user training is, that lots of users try to click on the folder icon and not on the folder name.
Sorry, wrong idea :)
Folders should also have the create time in the webclient!
