  • This is a great idea, and for us, would mean we wouldn't need any other solution to manage projects. If one task was dependent on another, and the first one was delayed, it could push the dependent task out.
    I've tried editing JSP files to get this to work, but it's quite complicated to do something as simple as displaying all the possible dependent tasks in a combo box.

  • The only reason why customers often denied Vibe - NO GANTT. All project managers use Gantt Charts! You need to integrate something like - Gantter (http://www.gantter.com) or similar. Without this chart task is useless and only purpose to use is it - "buy milk" , "repair car" and so on...

  • This too is holding back our Vibe use for Projects...Several open source Gantt charts are developed already that might be easy to integrate.

    I wonder if there's a clean/easy way with the Vibe API to build a connector to a charting system ourselves if the Vibe team disagrees...

  • For me it would be great if I can import project plan from excel as in our company most of plans are made in excel. Without Gantt char it is rather difficult to overview bigger projects.

  • I have to agree with a lot of what the other posters are saying. To be able to link the Vibe tasks and milestones with a Gantt chart and visually present the project to stakeholders would be a real bonus.

    I'm trying to push the project management abilities of Vibe with senior managers and project staff and the Gantt chart is the one that that is truly missing from nailing the sale.

  • We do a lot of projects leveraging subcontracting and having Gantt Charts would be very helpfull.
