This, especially in discussions it would help make the areas feel more like a discussion forum as that is what they are meant to be.
We have a Vibe extension in our portfolio that provides this functionality. It is really easy to roll out. Just get back to us via http://www.co3tools.com . HTH.
It would also be nice if you could see - when you receive the notification. Who else was on the receiving end.
