I am Linux user (using of SuSE Linux). With other users we miss some clients:
1. Groupwise (v. 8 is functional but without new functions)
2. Filr (synchronizing via rsync is not for common users)
3. Novell client (to shares i go trough ssh)
SuSE, SLES etc is your product and you dont support users on it. A shame.

  • It is a good idea, but i use openSUSE Leap and i think the GW client, Filr and Vibe desktop might work on openSUSE too, not only on SLE.

  • The support for Filr Desktop on Linux is planned, for this please vote for that @ https://ideas.microfocus.com/MFI/novell-filr/Idea/Detail/130
    More votes drives the priority.

My Idea is to merge the Vibe Desktop and Filr Desktop clients. As this will have the ability to setup multiple accounts, this would also benefit many of us that use both Vibe and Filr and those that frequently also need access to multiple systems of the same (customer of partner Filr/Vibe systems). This would also bring the "files on demand" to Vibe.
For this please vote on the Idea @ https://ideas.microfocus.com/MFI/novell-vibe/Idea/Detail/1183
