At this moment (vacation) rules can only be set through the GroupWise client for Windows and through the GroupWise WebAccess client. There is no centralized way available for setting (vacation) rules. Would be great, to have such a option from administration side.

Comments

  • that would be a really important feature. Now need to reset the password. The administrator may then activate the existing rules. The user no longer can access his groupwise .

  • This needs resolving...its ridiculous an admin cant set a users out of office if they are on sick, or forget to do it without logging into their account!

  • if i'm not mistaken one can do that using SOAP.

(for whatever reason you want a groupwise admin to do such task, maybe it would be better to make up some first-level tool to achive this)

personally i think it would be more important if vacation messages would be sent with an additional precedence:bulk header as mention here in idea:

  • The other idea is important...but i just think its a bit long winded that i now have to reset a users password, log into his webacess, set his rule to say he is sick or on leave, then wait for a phone call when he is back to say he cant log in.

  • This is currently planned on the roadmap the 18.1 release of GroupWise. 18.1 is currently schedule for release late secon half of 2018. Please remember that roadmap items are subject to change as we get closer to release. This will still be a licenses feature of Mailbox Mgmt. We plan to integrate that into GroupWise but you would have to have a Mailbox Management license or have Enterprise Messaging for the feature to be available.

  • In Groupwise Mailbox Management former Vertigo and also in the GW2018 vacation rule is no option to disable the inclusion of the senders mail in the autorespond. We need this otpion urgently for vacation rules in behave of the new european GDPR.

  • This is available in 18.1 which is shipping today 10/31/2018. For customers on maintenance this should be available for download in your customer portal over the next couple of days. This is available in GroupWise admin, but you must have either Mailbox Managment product or Enterprise Messaging to enable the feature.
