We do this now with ZENworks by pushing this Reg Key down to the workstation:
HKCU\Software\Novell\GroupWise\Client\Setup\DocMan=Off
Some of my users create folders for keeping track of items inside the Documents folder instead of the Cabinet folder. Should they use WebAccess, this will be problematic. I would rather, as the admin, have the ability to just prevent the Documents folder from existing. New users should be created without it, and old users should (behind the scenes) get redirected by the POA to the root of the Cabinet folder.
Agreed. The reg key is a workaround, but not an acceptable permanent solution. This really should be a setting within GroupWise.
I totally agree - this is not a feature we use nor do I want our users to see it. The last thing I need is another place for them to save something or want to save something :)
This is currently planned on the roadmap the 18.1 release of GroupWise. 18.1 is currently schedule for release late secon half of 2018. Please remember that roadmap items are subject to change as we get closer to release.
This is available in 18.1 which is shipping today 10/31/2018. For customers on maintenance this should be available for download in your customer portal over the next couple of days.
