I would like, as I'm typing along, to be able to hit control-b to go into bold face mode, and then hit control-b again, to exit bold face mode. (Control-B would toggle the font face on or off). Same thing for italic (control-i) and underscore (control-u). At the moment, you have to type what you want to say, and then go back with the mouse, highlight the word or phrase you want to emphasize, and then click one of the icons above to alter it's appearance.

It's just better keyboard flow if I don't have to go grab the mouse and manipulate the text after the fact, but before I hit Enter.
