At the moment GroupWise only know accept / decline as appointment status - it is possible to accept with tentative as a display status, but the sender of the appointment will receive the status 'accepted'.
iCalendar / RFC 2445 specifies the tentative status for participants and other mailsystems allow the use of tentative. Depending on the users the tentative status is heavily used.
