I also think that the ressource handling should be reworked. I probably assume everyone sets up two rules for meeting room handling: Accept, decline. But if you booked the resource and you go to your daily calendar and make the appointment a little longer (via pulling the end line down), the ressource will reject the longer appointment, because it is already busy with the shorter appointment you made before... I Openend an SR in 2012 on this, answer: "working as designed"!
A very similar extension would be to enable the booking of resources like vehicles or display devices. These should be visible in everyone's email client as a default, with group controlled access to add/change/modify. Maybe a book/confirm cycle with defined administrators ? Have it display as Resources at the same level as the Mailbox and Sent Items icons in the tree view. Clicking on a resource shows existing bookings and free periods etc.
