Micro Focus GroupWise: Messenger server to extend Chat Room to XMPP

I can use the Pidgin client to connect to my Messenger server; but, I can only do one-on-one chat sessions. I would like to be able to have the Pidgin client also support the Messenger Chat Room feature. As I understand it, the people over at the Pidgin project just need a little help from the Messenger developers to extend their libpurple library to be able to understand the Chat Room protocol.

having with PIDGIN the same funktionality as with the GW Messenger would be cool!
We need to use PIDGIN because GWIM is not able to work with proxys.
