The GUI look of the calendar for meeting room displays (tablets mounted outside of each meeting room) needs some color added to it for the Calendar Publishing Host service.

The Cool Solutions article on how to set this up at

https://www.novell.com/communities/coolsolutions/wirelessly-updated-display-boardroom-meeting-schedule/

mentions at the end of the article that the GW development team might "plan some cool color coding, and auto center on current time for those who run 24 hours."

This "Idea" is to promote getting this added coloring done (redo the GUI for meeting room displaying).

Would like to see a RED color bar if the room is scheduled to be used now, and GREEN color bar if its available now. This way we can "see from afar" that the meeting room is available to use while walking around the building looking for an open meeting room to quickly squat in.

Would also like the GUI display just list the upcoming meetings instead of just having a 24 hour scroll time line.

Here is an example of a Meeting Room GUI that this Idea is looking for -

  • Note to GW Dev: Bugzilla # 898545 requested such features

  • It will be interesting to see if GroupWise 2014 R2 Gives us a new template for this...

  • I'm still waiting on the time display to auto adjust for a 24 hour day. The way it works today does not work for a 24 hour environment where meeting rooms are used 24 x 7 (i.e. a hospital, etc).

Image example above is no longer posted, so here is an example of one:

  • Any one else out there using this Meeting Room Display mode feature of the Calendar Publishing Host?

  • We use on 4 boardrooms
