end-users commonly save their document to the network/sharepoint/vibe - but they like to keep their mail in the mailbox to refer to during projects - being able to remove/detach attachment(s) but keep mail in mailbox would help workflow of many end-users. Where possible during the action of removing attachment's the message view or properties should be updated with the attachments removed and possibly where they were saved.
I am aware that other products can help with this function, but they are time consuming to develop and costly to maintain.
