Proxy Access entries and Proxy Calendars do not clean up automatically. If a user account is deleted (not that uncommon with 10% fluctuation in a regular company) anyone who had it in the proxy access list or a proxy calendar will get an error every time they try to access it.
--> Remove the calendar if access is not possible because the user was deleted.

  • Taking this a step further.. would be cool if someone granted proxy rights to another user, that they now show up automatically in the proxy list. We get calls all the time saying "I dont see X in my list, even though they gave me rights" because they haven't manually typed name in yet.

  • Excellent idea, Joe B. Our Help Desk tells me that it's near 100% certain they will receive this exact same call for the reason you describe.

  • Sorry I have to disagree with Joe. We grant proxy access to all calendars for all users by default. If they are all visible in the proxy list, it'll be way too long.
But it would be cool if the calendars are removed automatically as suggested originally.

  • Thats a fair point. Depending on the number of users one gives proxy rights to, could be an ugly list

  • I like Joe B's idea of auto-populating the list of proxies available. Perhaps the proxy dialog box could be extended to have one tab for calendars (resources) you can proxy into, and another tab for users you can proxy into.

  • @Jens/David G - OK, I see the point. If not an Automatic Add, then perhaps filter the users' Proxy Add button to only show those users the current user has Proxy rights to (instead of the entire Address Book).

  • Maybe it could be coded to only show up to 10 addresses or something, and if more.. require you to type name in?
