When I reply to a message in GW client, I have the ability to customize what to include in the message. I can choose between GroupWise classic, Include Header, Internet standard formats. IMHO "Include header" is the most cleanest and readable format, I always use this.
My idea is to create such custom options for the forward of messages also. At the moment when I forward a message I am limited to the use of GroupWise classic format, which does not contains the original recipients and the subject of the original message.
The very basic problem is, that GroupWise cannot display more then one mailbox in caching mode at the same time. When I proxy into accounts, it uses online mode, which is sluggish, response times are terrible, because the GW server is far away and WAN lines slow. To overcome this problem I forward messages to my own mailbox. I cannot use flat forward, because I need to know to which mailbox the original mail was delivered, so I can reply from that mailbox. When I use the simple forward, the original recipients of the email are lost. Only the original sender and a time stamp is in the body of a forwarded email.
Until the GroupWise client will handle more than one caching mailbox, this extended header info in forwarded emails would make my work and hopefully the work of others easier.
