In my "secondary" non-GroupWise system I can create a distribution group, then via security allow one or more members to send mail as the distribution group. Replies to the email get sent to the distribution group.
For example: I have a distribution group called How-Do-I@domain.com. In the non-groupwise client I click on From: and select that distribution group. I can then send out the mail and it appears in the recipients mailbox as coming from "How Do I" and all the members of the group get the response and can respond accordingly.
Apologies if this is a duplicate "idea" but I am unable to find one specifically about sending from a distribution group. The other "ideas" relate to being able to send from a nickname and/or different domain names.
