I would find it highly beneficial if I could set and lock Caching Mailbox options centrally in the Admin Console.
Things like Caching Mailbox location, address book sync interval, etc.
This will allow us to set AV exclusions centrally to exclude the caching mailbox. Users will get the updated address book each day, etc.
Then, forcing a user into caching mode doesn't create a flood of calls to the Help Desk.

Using windows environmental variables for Caching Mailbox location setting would be perfect. Placing the caching mailbox under the users profile directory would be the best solution. For example our company would like to lock the caching mailbox path to %USERPROFILE%\gwcache. This way the user has always read,write rights to the directory, AV scanners could exclude this directory from scanning.
