GWIM has always been a favorite of mine. Vibe was interesting as well as pulse or the Google integration.

I would like to see a SLACK integration at minimal but would prefer to see GWIM and the GroupWise client merge into a slack like function. You can still receive static messages with threading, etc; but you can also have dynamic conversations with integration into voice, file sharing, document repository, etc.

Yes a central collaboration messaging system to rule them all....

Merge the new collaboration with the legacy...

I know we can do that to a degree, but they are really two different systems.... what can we do to make it all one system working much closer together? Pipe dream? maybe, but slack is taking hold and has been great to use....

  • The "Uinta" offering that will be available in 2H 2017 is designed to bring these features into the Collaboration offering from Micro Focus. There is also alot of modern threading happening in the GroupWise client for the Wasatch release. Stay tuned for more information on these releases on the GroupWise Blog.

  • Thanks Mike!

  • While not a slack competitor, team chat functionality is a part of TeamWorks 18 that is set to be released the week of Dec 11th. TeamWorks will be a part of the Micro Focus Enterprise Messaging product. https://www.microfocus.com/products/enterprise-messaging/
