As a GroupWise user I would like to see every GroupWise object type (user, resource, group, nickname) in GAL when the filter is set to "Filter Off". In my interpretation the "Filter Off" setting means "show me everything". But at the moment GAL doesn't displays nicknames when the filter is off. One have to select "Filter for Contacts" to display nicknames. (Why?) I guess this is intentional, but confuses users and breaks some use-cases. It would be more useful, simple, intuitive if there were check boxes for every type of object and then the user (or even better the administrator through client settings) could control what to display in GAL.
I (the GW admin) would like to display the same mailbox in GAL with two or more different display names but with the same email address. I would like to display the nickname in GAL and hide the original user. But because the GAL does not displays the nicknames by default I can't.
