Today you can add a group in the proxy rights window but GroupWise resolve the Mailboxes from the Group and enter all these Mailboxes in place of the Group. This could be a long unclear list and if new Members added to the Group this members will get no proxy rights. This should be changed to not resolve the Mailboxes and only enter the Group.

From a user perspective, selecting a group is what they are expecting. But there must also be a warning that system distribution list are managed by others, so others are deciding who get proxy access to my mailbox
I agree that this can cause unintended consequences if a group admin adds users to the group that you are not expecting. Perhaps this could be available for personally created groups.
I agree that a warning have to be shown to the users about other people changing the group members. If some users don't like this the better option would be a option to decide whether to add a group or the actual members of that group.
A group would be nice in the ACL especially if setting proxy access for resource objects. You might have a new person in accounting that needs access to 20 resource objects.
It is easier to add a user to a group and use the Group as in the ACL list, rather than add the individual to 20 ACLs of the 20 resource objects.
