It's great that GMS sends a notification when e.g. connection to LDAP is down. Would be nice if it also sent a notification when the service recovered, since the subsequent lack of problem alerts may be due to a different issue. Also it should be configurable how often the alerts are sent. (Having a second LDAP server configured would mitigate this issue, but that's a separate idea.)

Comments

  • Allow the GMS point to a pool of LDAP servers. Just like the GWPOA can do today.

  • Have the GMS Notification feature send out an email for more than just the Critical red alerts. Allow the GMS administrator select that it can also send out for Warning orange alerts which would tell us when the GMS is having a *performance problem* that we can look into ASAP before our mobile users start calling our help desk that their mobile device is not getting or sending emails. I do not want to be watching that Dashboard 24x7x365 looking for performance issues. Make it so GMS tells the GW Admin when its slowing down, then I will go investigate who's mobile device is causing the slow down so I can fix it fast.
