The AGPL (Affero Gnu Public License) is the standard and proven model for open-sourcing SAAS software.
MicroFocus can still continue its business model of selling first-class support, and would profit from external contributions.

By this, I would personally expect Groupwise to finally reach the level of robustness and usability that can usually only be seen in open source software. Currently, I am very happy to be able to use Thunderbird and its calendar instead.
