My Idea is to provide Search Operators for the QuickFinder box (which is found at the top right of all folder views). With Groupwise 2014R2 it searches in the message body and any attachment. But this gives sometimes a little too much results. So it would be nice to have search operators like “from:”, “to:”, “body:”, “attachment:”, and so on...
So If I want to search for messages from "John" which contain "Test" in the body I would able to type “from:john body:test”.

Hello, on last weeks i migrate several gw 8.0.3 to gw2014R2 on several customers. All of the users now, complains on this! They obtain too much information that there is not what they are looking for. It should be possible we define the "properties" of this "quick search". If we have that, we can define to not search on the email body or inside attachements, and all was ok!
Yes!!! Please bring back the old search function! No one here likes the new changes! For that there is STRG-F you can use.
Definitive yes, bring back the old one!
The new Quickfinder search is crap and shows way too much. As Heiko mentioned therefor you have STRG+F.
Many users start complaining about this.
We have users complaining about the new Quickfinder as well. Bring back the previous one.
Search operators would be a great help! I just spoke with a user complaining that he was getting way too many results - rendering the search useless.
And what about the interminable search times and client stoppages as the search continues on.
There needs to be a "Kill Search " function.
Please, make this feature possible! My users are reporting that the QuickFinder on GW 2014 is not usable so much without at last an option to select to search on body OR subject of messages.
Completely agree, we've received user complaints as well about the same. Either search operators could help, but at the very least it should be possible to adjust the default query that is current hardcoded into the application.
It used to be: "From, To, CC, Subject, My Subject, Place"
Now it is: "From, To, CC, Subject, My Subject, Place, Name, Message, Attachments"
There should be an advanced dialog where the exact search can be altered for the default search. This would allow users to choose if they prefer the GW7-2012 search, or the new more extensive search. More results are not always better!
Will this ever be addressed.
Seriously the quick find worked so well up and till these recent versions.
But it remains both a speed issue and as noted before "Kill" search ability. Once search begins, if it was an incorrect search to start with, one has to wait interminably for the results and then to restart.
